The Randolph Boys Indoor Track Team took 3rd place overall at the South Shore League Championship on Thursday.
Junior Josh Monteiro started the night by finishing second in the 55 Meter High Hurdles, with a new personal best time of 8.89 seconds. Josh would go on to lead the 4×400 Meter Relay Team to a third place finish with a time of 3:54, also a seaon best. The 4×400 team consisted of Josh Monteiro, Da’Juan Jette, Shaquan Rush, and Jaylin Fernandes.
Randolph had a strong performance in the 1000 Meter Run, with Freshman Shaquan Rush taking second place with a time of 2:59.43, and Sophmore Jaylin Fernandes taking third with 2:59.63.
The competitive 600 Meter Run, found Synsmyr Forgue taking third place, with a time of 1:29.64, and Robert Duarte in 6th place with a time of 1:33.62.
Amazing Onwuchekwa led Randolph in the 55 Dash, taking 5th place overall with a time of 6.94.
Randolph’s Izhak Adam took 5th in the mile, with a personal best time of 5:01. While Senior Chris Valentin 5th in the Shot Put.
Randolph ended the night with a stellar performance from the 4×200 Meter Relay team of Luong Tran, Amazing Onwuchekwa, Jo-Elie Claude, and Bryan Figeroa, who took second overall. The team finished with a season best 1:40.33.
