The VARSITY ASSISTANT Football Coach:
•Reports directly to Head Football Coach and Athletic Director
•Acknowledges and understands all rules set by MIAA.
•Develops game plan for each opponent by facilitating coaching meetings, break down of film, and coordinate game time/half time adjustments.
•Develops practice plans, which include drills/techniques and team instruction.
•Monitors the safety, skill development, and progress of each player during off season and in season workouts/practices
•Participates in community service opportunities as well as being an active participant in fundraising.
•Collects bi-weekly progress reports and help monitor study hall program during season.
•Informs parents on players’ progress academically as well as athletically.
•Participates in various camps and clinics given by the head coach to help develop players and you as a coach.
This position requires: MIAA Coaches Certification, Prior Playing and Coaching Experience, and successful completion of a CORI. A strong commitment to academic and athletic success of all student-athletes is expected as well as effective communication skills.
