Game Recap

On Wed. 10/17, the RHS Girls Volleyball team moved one step closer to qualifying for the MIAA State Tournament by defeating Abington HS by a score of 3-0. Randolph needs just one more win to reach that goal. The scores of the sets were: 25-13, 25-16, and 25-19. For Randolph, Junior Co-Captain OH Binh Diec sparked a comeback rally in the second set by serving 11 straight points. This allowed Randolph to erase a 5 point deficit and take the lead, and eventually won the set, 25-16. “Binh’s serving was such a key today when we needed some scoring”. Junior MH Vanessa Mathelier had a solid game at the net, recording 8 kills, 4 blocks, and 5 service points. Senior Co-Captain Libero Tu Uyen Nguyen recorded another double double with 13 on target serve receive passes and 11 digs. “Tu Uyen keeps filling the stat sheet every game. She has been a joy to coach the last four years.”
The next match for the Lady Devils is on Thur. 10/19 at home against Atlantis Charter HS at 5:00. 6 seniors will be recognized before the game on Senior Night. Team record is now 8 wins and 6 losses.
