The middle school girls soccer team finally had the chance to play in front of the home crowd as the team hosted the Anchorwomen of St. Clements of Medford on Tuesday afternoon. The young blue devils made the most of the opportunity and gave those in attendance something to be proud of as they battled the much bigger visiting team to a 0-0 tie. Both teams had opportunities to score but failed to reach the back of the nets.

Coach Bella said this was the best game of the young season for the girls as they put together two very solid half’s. The player of the game was goalie Isabella Hurley who made some incredible saves including a few in the penalty box to preserve the tie.

The Blue Devils are now 0-2-1 on the season and return to action on Friday as they travel with the boys team to Weston to face the Wildcats.
