On a bright and sunny Wednesday afternoon complete with temperatures above average for the month of October. The blue devils middle school cross country team held the programs first ever home meet.  The tri-meet included Whitman and Hingham middle schools.  The students, coaches and hundreds of spectators lined the soccer field, and the back entrance of the school to watch the runners start and finish the 1.72 mile course.

You could hear screams of excitement and motivation at the first sighting of the runners with their multicolored jerseys as they raced down  the stretch to the finish line . The girls defeated Hingham and narrowly missed beating Whitman. The boys also had impressive performance with five runners finishing in the top twenty five.
